This property, had a damp, disused cellar that was hard to reach using its old, steep stairs. The clients wanted a dual-purpose space could be used both for entertaining, and as a safe playroom for their young child.

We transformed the room from an uninhabitable, damp, dark space with an uneven concrete floor to a dry, bright, flexible room. Opening up a lightwell provides plenty of natural light and an airy feel, and new timber stairs now allow easy access from the rest of the house.

What our client said…

Liam and his team converted our basement in our previous house. This involved full underpinning, tanking with membrane and pump, new staircase and finish. The room came up great with a nice high ceiling and was well insulated. From start to finish we were impressed with Liam and his team and it is no surprise to us when we see his hoardings around St Albans. Highly recommend.
